LG has unveiled the G6, its next top of the line Android Smartphone. As previously confirmed by LG and reported by tech media, the G6 will include a vast 5.7-inch screen with not so standard aspect ratio of 2:1 and an accentuation on insignificant bezels. The exact release date has yet to be announced.
UPDATE: The LG has been officially released on March 2017.
LG's flagship smartphone the G6 has seen a lot of tension around the world. It is said to be one of the biggest competitors in the market for 2017. While the information hasn't been officially confirmed yet, many pictures of the unannounced g6 mini has just emerged online.
Now just a heads up the LG G6 mini is not actually the official name and the company hasn't even said what the official name will be and there's no code name for this device either but the miniature version will support a 5.4 inch panel and a screen about a ratio of under 80%. However both LG G6 models feature the same 18 non-action ratio so you if you're a particular fan of it you'll probably be disappointed. Aside from the size of display the rest of the phone specs are still a mystery.
Now we don't know it will have more power or less power but we could guess that it will have about the same speed battery life and overall specs as the bigger brother but also worth mentioning that the LG G6 it's not a final market name. LG had said that there are working on a miniature version of it the thing is we don't know when it will come out.
Now since the LG G6 larger model has already been announced people already are buying the smartphones. LG doesn't want the market to be totally saturated before they launch a smartphone so we might be seeing the smartphone sometime around maybe next month or quarter to late in the summer time but once again LG G6 is extremely good idea since there are a lot of people who aren't big fans of a bigger device and said they prefer a smaller device or a smaller device body and the bigger screen which is still a great idea
Smart phones nowadays are getting bigger and bigger with the body smaller.
The displays are bigger and have much brighter display which is absolutely amazing
But again would you buy the LG G6 Mini if it was affordable or just still buy it because it just looks absolutely amazing?
UPDATE: We've got more details about the LG G6, so here are the top features of this highly anticipated device.
Here are the top features of this highly anticipated LG g6
New Design
Gone is the Full Metal Jacket of the g5 and this
year you get a shiny and beautiful Gorilla Glass slide back but just like you would imagine the phone quickly becomes a fingerprint magnet so a brand skin or a case is a must for the G6.
The phone feels solid when you're holding it it's a nice metal frame all around but it feels a little boxy even though the back is slightly curved on the edges. The button placement and fingerprint scanner locations are unchanged.
You still get a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack so a lot of you'll be happy with that but the IR blaster is gone there is an SD card slot inside the SIM tray
LG even made design changes on the inside where they place heat pipes to disperse heat more evenly and use a more rigid H frame on the metal body to give it better durability.
It is sleek so there's no camera bump at all and it's about the same footprint as the g5
Display
The next exciting feature is a first in the industry at this moment and that is the new 5.7 inch 18 by 9 quad HD plus display. This ultra-wide aspect ratio and the various
embezzles give it an amazing look. This display is very impressive even though this is an IPS LCD and not an AMOLED panel.
The colors, the sharpness, the brightness, all of these are on point so I don't think you'll be disappointed with this display at all.
The g6 is also the first to support both HDR 10 and Dolby vision platforms so you
can display billions of colors with supported content from Netflix and Amazon Prime video and those platforms already have some shows that support the 18 by 9 aspect ratio so that'll be interesting to see
One drawback though is that the corners of the screen aren't squared off.
It gives it a little bit of a weird look that is a little bit distracting.
Battery
The G6 now has a 3300 mAh hour battery up from the 2,800 mAh hours in the g5. This is a significant bump up and should translate to better battery life.
The USB port on the bottom now supports quick charge 3.0 so charging your phone will be super-fast.
Because of that glass back you now get support for fast wireless charging with both Chi and PMA support.
Water Resistance
For those of you that love removable batteries you will be disappointed because the G6 battery is non-removable. But there's definitely advantage for that because now the G6 is water-resistant with an ip68 rating.
LG claims that the g6 has improved ceiling above its competition with the exposed
ports and you'll have a lot of fun soaking this phone over and over again for about 30 minutes and would still work perfectly. So if you drop this in the back the pool or
your kids' splash to drink on it you'll be just fine
Cameras
On both sides you get a 5 megapixel wide-angle hundred-degree field-of-view front-facing camera and you also get a dual 13 megapixel camera setup on the back with one being a hundred 25 degree ultra-wide angle lens. Of course you can change from the regular camera to the wide-angle like before with just a single tap but what's cool is that you can seamlessly zoom in between the two fields of view to obtain an optical zoom
It's really smooth you have a new square camera app where you can frame your shot how you want it take the picture and preview the shot right after
Software
The G6 runs Android 7.0 with LG skin on top. It looks almost identical to the g5.
The Snapdragon 821 with 4 gigabytes of RAM seemed to do a great job keeping this
phone nice and snappy
Even though this is not Android 7.1 like the Google pixel it's exciting to see Google Assistant on here.
This might be the first phone to have assistant outside of the pixel so it's a nice inclusion.
